Winter Time

Winter is the time for comfort,
for good food and warmth,
for the touch of a friendly hand
and for talk beside the fire:
it is the time for HOME.
by Edith Sitwell

I am thankful for our little home.  We are so content to putter these winter days inside, cosy and warm.

  1. Good Morning Teri. This winter being inside is very important; last night temperatures were negative 30 with the wind chill factor. It is so cold to even touch the door handle to attempt to go out. The need to go out and about is important too; with the snow piling up outside and blocking some window views you can get cabin fever quickly. So we bundle up and head out with a friend or family for a brief visit or cup of warm coffee, tea or cocoa. I know winter has just begun. I am thinking this year of 2017 will be a memorable one!

  2. I love our cozy and warm little home too, Teri! January means puttering around our home decluttering. It will be cold the rest of this week. That means hot cocoa by the fire! Have a lovely week.
    God bless, Kathy

  5. Coffee and tea are most welcome on these cold afternoons. Our area has the threat of snow/sleet mix this weekend and we are as prepared as we can be. This is a good time of year to clean and organize indoors!

I love to putter around the house on these winter days. I know it will pas and then on to the other months and all the joy they bring.
    Right now, I'm content.
